Judging from this sample of articles I would say there are 5 negative takes on her campaign, and 1 neural take on her campaign.

The Wall Street Journal, Politico, Washington Times, Business insider have negative articles on her campaign, while the Huffington post article seems neutral or positive.
I think at this point in time the media is generating a TON of news about her because she is so big right now. It's almost as though she's TOO big, and she's gotta be taken down a few notches. This is usually pretty typical of a front-runner.
At this point in time Hillary Clinton doesn't seem to be sending a lot of messaging, except maybe that she likes Chipolte, because she ate there.

As it gets closer to the campaign we'll see a lot more from Clinton in speeches, debates, etc. Right now all there really is to talk about is where she eats lunch, and her past.

MEDIA BIAS

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkOJhJ6yj6I

This is Fox News' earliest take (that I could find), on Hillary Clinton's announcement. Of course it wasn't much of a surprise, as I'm sure they've been anticipating this announcement for some time. There didn't seem to be much bias coming from this conservative side. It came across as more of a general analysis for the campaign down the road.

For the sake of finding a clip that was bias I found this Fox News clip from a couple days ago. This clip is very personal and clearly biased...

It's odd to me how visibly upset this person gets at the thought of Hillary Clinton being President. It's almost as if she's upset because she wants to be the first female President instead of Hillary. She says she would like to see a female President, but just not Clinton.

Here is some left leaning coverage of Hillary Clinton...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vACQP8IBqH4

I've found this clip, and many others like it to be rather hard-hitting on Clinton. I think it may have something to do with her overall popularity, and perception of inevitability from the Democratic side, which could frustrate Democrats.

I remember very similar things were happening on Fox News during the 2012 Republican Primary about Mitt Romney. During that Primary Fox News would hammer Romney as hard as any news station, because he was the front-runner. As soon as he won the Primary, Fox News did a 180 in total support of him. I think you could expect the same sort of thing from the liberal media stations if Hillary Clinton does win the Democratic Primary.

I think Clinton can probably anticipate getting the business from both sides until it gets late in the game. Now that she's announced, negative takes from the media are probably just going to get worse.

Blog #6 - Advertisement strategies

https://youtu.be/iv-Nj3aXYrs

In this first Hillary Clinton advertisement from the 2008 Democrat Primary, it seems her strategy is bring to light all the serious issues that are facing the nation, to hopefully make the audience aware of her experience advantage over Obama without explicitly saying it--Enthymematic strategy. The ad text says, "A nation at war, Troubles at home, America at a crossroads". Then says, "demands a leader with a steady hand, who will weather the storms, solve our problems, rebuild our middle class, and renew our greatness". Something you always seem to hear in every election cycle is the talking point that says something like this election is the most crucial in our history or something along those lines. I think this ad is getting at that point without expressly saying that. I think the ad is effective, although I do think it's a little presumptuous to say that Hillary Clinton will "solve our problems". I don't think any person, or President "solves the nations problems". Although that's not a big deal.

This next ad does 2 things very well. First of all it presents Hillary Clinton as a friend of the soldiers--a patriotic person. Who doesn't love that, right? It's always a good political strategy to align yourself with serving those who serve us.
The second thing this ad does is get at the point that she worked with a Republican--Lindsey Graham to get legislation passed in order to help the troops. Very rarely will it work for a Democrat to say you worked with Lindsey Graham on something, but in this case it does work. Supporting the troops is a stance that likely 95% of Americans are on board with. She explains how important things demand bi-partisanship, and I think that's something most Americans are craving.

This ad is your typical attack ad. It attacks Barrack Obama on his stance on Gas Tax. Although it is not super confrontational, it will very likely demand a response from the Obama campaign. Gas prices are a very important topic to most all Americans as it effects their day to day. Other issues that are of the utmost importance like climate change is more important in the long run, but gets less attention on the campaign's because the voters don't see it as a day to day issue. Unlike the first ad this ad is very explicit in addressing your stance in relation to Obama's stance. Although I don't like attack ads, this one is pretty harmless, I wouldn't describe it as mudslinging, or a low blow. This is just politics as usual.
